His clinical practice covers the breadth of general urology with a specific interest in men’s health and a subspecialty practice in kidney stones and endourology. In his practice, David is an advocate for health promotion, disease prevention and supporting patients understand and own their health. His professional portfolio includes significant leadership roles in medical education and professional standards. His academic credentials include a Postgraduate Research Doctorate in Prostate Cancer Staging and receipt of the Keith Yeates Gold Medal for outstanding academic performance.

MBChB FRCS (Urol)

My name is Mutie Raslan. I am a Consultant Urological Surgeon with over a decade of experience, specialising in prostate and bladder health. I am also co-founder of Prostate Health UK, reflecting my commitment to raising standards and awareness in men’s health. Alongside my clinical work, I have developed a particular interest in the broader aspects of men’s wellbeing, recognising that prostate health, hormonal balance, and cardiovascular risk are closely interconnected but too often assessed in isolation.

I offer a modern, comprehensive approach to men’s health, working with colleagues to deliver a thorough and personalised assessment that goes beyond a single presenting concern. This integrated service combines detailed urological evaluation with cardiovascular risk assessment and hormone profiling, providing a clear and meaningful picture of overall health and future risk. I trained in leading hospitals across the UK and completed a subspecialist Pelvic Oncology Fellowship at Oxford University Hospitals, where I gained advanced expertise in prostate and bladder cancer, including robotic surgery.

I remain actively involved in research and innovation, including the TRANSLATE trial and other initiatives focused on improving prostate cancer diagnosis and risk stratification. This enables me to offer patients access to the latest evidence-based diagnostic pathways and advanced tools such as PSMA PET imaging and the Stockholm3 test. My practice is centred on delivering high-quality, personalised care, with a strong emphasis on clarity, discretion, and ensuring that every patient feels fully informed and confident in their care.

MBChB MD FRCS (Urol) PGcert (MedED)

My name is Alex Hoyle. I am a consultant urologist in the North West of England and Co-founder of Prostate Health UK.  In my medical career, I have focused my interests on urological problems disproportionally affecting men’s health. My clinical interests include the diagnosis and counselling of men suspected to have prostate or bladder cancer and I enjoy a range of surgical expertise including the use of robotic keyhole surgery and major open reconstructive surgery.

During surgical training I spent 2 years working toward a Doctorate of Medicine degree, studying the role of new drug treatments in metastatic prostate cancer. This work helped dramatically change the treatment landscape for this incurable form of the disease.

My research experience stressed to me the clear importance of early prostate cancer diagnosis. The option to offer a chance of cure or to limit the presentations of disease at an incurable stage is greatly advantageous. Ongoing uncertainty over the future of prostate cancer screening in the UK and my own family history of prostate cancer has encouraged me to support the development of a high-quality prostate cancer diagnostic service delivered by specialists in the field.

Finally, my enthusiasm for education, combined with a strong interest in preventative medicine, equips me with the skills to empower men to take control of their health. We help you identify prostate health weaknesses with the aim to help you enhance both your quality of life and longevity.
